Let's talk about lip blush and the healing process!
During your appointment you will have picked the perfect colour for you, specially selected by your artist to compliment and suit your skin tone and undertone. When picking the colour, it is important to understand the colour initially implanted will fade up to 60% whilst healing.
Day of treatment.
Your lips will appear bright in colour, slightly swollen and may be a little tender - i often describe the sensation as 'sunburn'.
Immediate days after treatment.
Your lips may still be a little swollen after treatment, which is completely normal - your lips are a very sensitive area. You may find them starting to feel a little dry, continue to use the healing balm provided. The colour will also start to lighten.
Approx days 4-7.
You may start to see some shedding, and peeling of the very outer layer of the lips. This is completely normal, and essential to unmask the true colour underneath.
Approx days 7-10.
Peeling will start to subside, and you will be left with a very light blush of colour ready for your top up. They may still feel dry.
Up to 6 weeks.
Your lips now have completed the main stages of healing, from now you can expect the colour to slightly blossom in waiting for your top up appointment. There will be some areas with more pigment loss than others, which is completely normal.
*Lip blush immediately after treatment / Healed before top up.
